It happens all too often, I’ve seen and experienced CEO’s or executives reach out, candid about the challenges, seeking guidance, insight, or a route to growth.

They know they need support. And then… silence. No follow-up. No decision. No action.

Here’s the uncomfortable truth: it’s not the business that’s stuck. It’s the hesitation at the top.

Fear of exposure; what will change reveal about the organisation or leadership?
Indecision dressed as timing; “we’ll get to it later” is the death of momentum.
Avoidance of accountability; help requires commitment; many aren’t ready to pay the price.

Momentum waits for no one. Opportunities don’t pause for indecision. The longer you hesitate, the harder it becomes to recover, if you can!

Impressive leaders act. They take ownership. Assume accountability and act responsibly. They make the tough calls. They don’t just reach out for advice; they tend to listen, then react and follow through.

If you’ve asked for help but haven’t acted, ask yourself: Are you truly ready to lead, or just testing the waters on an idea or concept?

Have you seen this happen in your industry?
